the Pigeon and a rock

“There are these two young fish swimming along and they happen to meet an older fish swimming the other way, who nods at them and says "Morning, boys. How's the water?" And the two young fish swim on for a bit, and then eventually one of them looks over at the other and goes "What the hell is water?".....
It is about the real value of a real education, which has almost nothing to do with knowledge, and everything to do with simple awareness; awareness of what is so real and essential, so hidden in plain sight all around us, all the time, that we have to keep reminding ourselves over and over:

"This is water."

"This is water.”
― David Foster Wallace, This Is Water: Some Thoughts, Delivered on a Significant Occasion, about Living a Compassionate Life

Been cold all morning, so I put on my jacket and there it was. One of my dear friend's kids picked out a rock from the Pigeon River last weekend and gave it to me to keep in my pocket. I like having a rock in my pocket to rub. I've kept a small rock in the pocket of my jacket for almost as long as I can remember. This one is pretty perfect too. It is white and just the right size and very, very smooth, perfect for rubbing with my thumb. I love that it is from the Pigeon.

This kind of pain has to go on the air. It will be proving his self in the sky. This kind of things can be usually seen in the passage of time.

The moral lesson that I got from the story is about appreciation. I never really appreciated school and classes before, until I found a way to enjoy it while studying and going to classes. Education is really important to all of us, especially when you want to have a good job after college and if you want to discover your skills and learn new things. The things that you learn from school may or may not last forever, but the values that you get from them is what really matters.
